Setting up shop with BandCamp
Hey there, guys and gals. I decided that from now on, most
merch will be available through Bandcamp. It's really cool and
user friendly, goes through paypal, and I get the option of letting the
buyer name his/her own price.
Pretty cool, right?
I'll make sure to keep you posted about new merch and stuff :)
Mailing list overhaul
(2/4/12).
Sadly, I think I am stuck using ReverbNation's mailing list service.
Sorry for all the confirmation emails from trying to switch.
I always feel like I'm redesigning this thing
(1/16/12).
I tried using WordPress
for a while, but there was too much junk to sort through.
So here we are, back to the HTML stuff.
Thanks for visiting the page :) |

Biography
Alex Mitts emits a folk sound similar to such
artists as Wilco and The Weakerthans. Hailing
from Bakersfield, CA, Alex intends to acquaint
himself with surrounding cities in California in
order to spread his sound like a harmonious
disease.
His 2009 release, “Love and Foolishness” brought
him local attention. Songs from the release,
such as “Apathy Town,” have been featured on
local radio broadcasts,
most notably the now defunct “Bakotopia Radio.”
In 2011, Alex released a second EP titled “The
Learning Curve,” which displayed his talent not
only as a songwriter but also as a well-versed
multi-instrumentalist.
According to James Moore of yourbandisavirus.com,
Alex is “A fresh perspective from a bright,
young talent.”
Now Alex's new release, “Apartment Songs,” lends
itself to a wide range of audiences with songs
suitable for both a full ensemble and/or a more
naked setup consisting of a single vocal and
guitar. With such songs as “Zombie Baby,” an
up-tempo folk-pop tune, Alex will have listeners
tapping their feet and singing along at every
concert. |
